JOB DESCRIPTION:
Performing preventative maintenance service for residential customers' with all aspects of residential HVAC including heat pumps, gas systems, and air conditioning units.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must partner with dispatch, warehouse, and any others necessary to provide customers with timely and accurate service in accordance with company standards and procedures
- Perform HVAC maintenances in accordance with company standards
- Serve customers by analyzing work orders, following daily travel schedule, listening to customer concerns, performing designated work, and proactively solving problems
- Cooperate with other departments to continually improve the process and flow of information
- Keep personal tools and equipment operable and up to date
- Document work performed in accordance with company procedure
- Updates knowledge by participating in educational opportunities at Morris-Jenkins University or individual training with our company Trainer, and reading professional publications
- You must be able to maintain professional conduct in all work situations, have a "clean cut" appearance and adapt well to all types of working conditions
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor/manager
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years' residential HVAC Maintenance Service Technician experience (apartment maintenance is not considered residential HVAC service)
- EPA Universal or Type II Certification
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must pass pre-employment drug test
- Must pass extensive criminal background check
- Must have an insurable driving record & valid driver license
- Able to meet Physical Demands and tolerate Work Environment ***See Below***
- Must be able to fluently speak, read, & write in the English language
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years' residential HVAC Maintenance Service Technician experience
- HVAC education (Associates, Diploma, Certificate) or Manufacturer Training
- NATE Certification

PHYSICIAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; crawl for extended periods of time; use hands to finger, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit: talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds averaging five times per day. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The duties of this job are performed mostly in extreme hot to cold weather conditions and in confined/close spaces 80% of the time i.e. as crawl spaces and attics. Requires wearing goggles and safety gloves as policy directs.
